Manhattan School of Music's pre-conservatory training program for talented musicians aged 5 to 18, held on Saturdays during the school year.

MSM’s 进大学前的 program gives talented students professional instruction 和 multiple performing opportunities in a supportive environment, as well as collaborative time spent with like-minded peers, many of whom become life-long friends 和 colleagues.

学生 take part in either our Classical Program 或者我们的 爵士乐艺术 Program.

Instruction each Saturday throughout the school year includes a weekly private lesson 和 classes such as theory, 耳朵的培训, 作文, 管弦乐队, 合唱, 和 conducting. 学生 also take part in numerous 表演 held in our various recital halls.

Many graduates go on to attend world-class conservatories, Ivy League universities, 和 other prestigious institutions.

进大学前的 Mission Statement

The mission of the 进大学前的 is to enrich students’ lives 和 to nurture the next generation of professional musicians, arts 和 civic leaders, as well as future audience members 和 patrons of the arts. The established music curriculum supports those students wishing to enter a college music conservatory training program 和 also those pursuing higher education degrees in other areas. The goal of the 进大学前的 is not only to provide comprehensive 和 rigorous music instruction; it is also to promote an atmosphere of warmth 和 support, one that encourages all students to achieve their greatest potential.
